North Australian Cancer Coordination Services

One referral. Every cancer pathway.

A single entry point for cancer referrals, providing timely, coordinated access to specialist care for patients across Northern Australia.

About NACCS

Streamlined cancer referrals across Northern Australia

North Australian Cancer Coordination Services (NACCS) is the central consolidated access point for general practitioners across Northern Australia to refer patients with any suspected or confirmed cancer.

Designed for busy GPs, our coordinated team manages triage, investigations, and allocation to the most appropriate specialist, ensuring timely, integrated care and clear communication back to you.

NACCS is also built for specialists — particularly gastroenterologists — who need a quick, reliable referral pathway at the time of endoscopy when a suspected malignancy is identified.

With one referral, your patient is guided smoothly from suspicion to treatment within a collaborative network of experienced specialists.

Why Refer Through NACCS?

  • Single referral for all suspected or confirmed cancers
  • Faster triage and access to diagnostics
  • Comprehensive coordination, from referral to treatment
  • Ongoing GP communication
  • Access to a multidisciplinary network of specialists and subspecialists
  • Optimisation of investigations avoiding unnecessary tests or multiple trips for additional tests
